The rules for using CVBuilder, including exactly how the R99 unlock and R49 Edit Pass work.
CVBuilder is a guided online service for creating, improving, saving and exporting professional CVs. You can build and preview your CV before paying. Payment is only required when you want to unlock PDF and DOCX downloads, and later when you need a new editing window after your initial editing period has ended.

You may use CVBuilder only for lawful purposes and for CV or professional profile content that you are entitled to use. You are responsible for making sure the information in your CV is accurate before sending it to an employer or other third party.
We may suspend or restrict access where the platform is abused, security is put at risk, or use of the service violates these terms or applicable law.
Your purchases apply to your CVBuilder account, not to one individual CV. While you have active editing access, you may create, edit, improve and duplicate multiple CVs under the same account. The R99 and R49 charges are not charged separately for each CV.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place through your account.
The R99 purchase is a once-off payment. Once a successful payment is confirmed, PDF and DOCX downloads are unlocked for your account and your initial 30-day full editing window begins.
During those 30 days you can create new CVs, edit existing CVs, use the improvement tools, duplicate CVs and switch templates or colours. There is no monthly subscription and the R99 payment does not renew automatically.
When the initial 30-day editing window ends, your saved CVs remain in your account and the PDF and DOCX download access unlocked by your R99 payment remains available. The end of the editing window does not require you to pay again simply to download an existing saved CV.
Creating a new CV, changing content, improving a CV or duplicating a CV requires active editing access.
If you are an existing paid CVBuilder customer and your editing window has expired, you can buy a R49 Edit Pass. A successful Edit Pass payment opens a new seven-day editing window across your account.
The Edit Pass does not replace or reduce your existing download entitlement. It simply reopens editing for seven days. It is a once-off purchase, does not renew automatically and is only needed when you want to make further changes after editing access has expired.
Payments are processed securely through Paystack. CVBuilder does not store your full card details. Access is granted only after the payment has been successfully verified by the payment provider.
Where the required billing information is available, an invoice can be generated for a successful R99 unlock or R49 Edit Pass purchase and made available through your account.
You keep ownership of the information and CV content you create. You give CVBuilder only the limited permission needed to store and process that content so we can save your work, generate previews, provide improvement features and create PDF or DOCX exports for you.
We may improve or change features, templates, technical systems or future pricing from time to time. Any new pricing applies prospectively and does not turn an existing once-off purchase into a subscription.
We aim to keep CVBuilder reliable, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed at all times, including during maintenance or events outside our reasonable control.
CVBuilder helps you prepare and present a professional CV, but it cannot guarantee interviews, job offers or employment outcomes. You remain responsible for checking the final document and deciding where and how it is submitted.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer or data protection law. If any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that mandatory right will apply.
